How to Ensure a Permanently Tidy Handbag!

No more digging in that cavernous hole that is your handbag to find the house key, or rummaging through dirty old receipts, hair ties, breath mints, and other stuff to find the pen that you know is in there somewhere! Let's tame the handbag chaos!

I challenge you to grab your current handbag and spill the contents on to a flat surface. Surprised at how much stuff you are lugging around? What categories do you see? Some categories that you may find are: make up, skincare, wallet, receipts, gum, snacks, coins, tissues, meds...... Next sort the stuff into like with like. Examine the 'stuff' one (sub)category at a time. Pick up each item and mindfully decide if it serves a purpose? Does it really need to occupy prime real estate in your handbag, adding unnecessary weight? How many of the same or similar items are living in there now? Do you really need it every time you step out or can it live at home? Do you need that crumpled old receipt from Wendy's drive-thru? (is it for a reimbursement claim?) Toss out obvious trash. Streamline how many of each type of item need to stay in the handbag, how many can be left home and what can be let go.

What are the must haves for you when you step out with your handbag/purse? Give it some thought now. (You can thank me later!) Once you have that clarity of the absolute essentials, the must haves, gather them in a box/bin whatever. Now you have the freedom to switch handbags! All you have to do each time is to put the must haves in when you step out and return them to the bin when you are done for the day, with gratitude for their service! Then place your hardworking bag in an assigned spot for some rest! Try to keep small items corralled in small pouches for a neat and organized handbag that is a pleasure to open and a breeze to use!
